Navigating Unexplained Infertility: A Holistic Path to Fertility

Navigating Unexplained Infertility: A Holistic Path

April 9, 2026 – 6:30 PM

Exploring the overlooked factors behind unexplained infertility and how holistic strategies can support the body for conception.

For many couples, the words “unexplained infertility” can feel both confusing and frustrating. After months or years of trying, tests may come back normal, yet pregnancy still isn’t happening. You may be told to keep waiting, start medication, or consider treatments like IUI or IVF, without a clear understanding of why conception has been difficult.

While these approaches can be helpful and necessary for many couples, they are not always the only perspective to explore.

This is a small, intimate workshop with a maximum of 8 participants to allow for a more personal and focused experience.

The workshop offers a deeper look into the often-overlooked factors that can influence fertility. Rather than focusing only on the reproductive organs, we explore how fertility is connected to the health of the entire body, including the gut, immune system, hormones, and lifestyle environment.

In this session, Sonia will guide participants through a holistic understanding of fertility and explain how subtle imbalances, such as gut health disruptions, mineral imbalances, immune regulation, stress patterns, and thyroid health, may influence the body’s ability to conceive.

Alongside this, Vivienne, founder of Florish, brings a complementary perspective by exploring how the fertility journey is not only physical, but also experienced in the body through ongoing stress, uncertainty, and emotional load – and why this matters when looking at the bigger picture of fertility.

This is not about blaming the body or promising quick solutions. It is about understanding the body more deeply and discovering areas that may deserve attention when the path to conception feels uncertain.

Whether you are trying to conceive naturally, exploring medical treatments, or simply seeking more clarity about your fertility journey, this workshop offers knowledge, perspective, and practical guidance.

What to expect

We begin with a short welcome from Vivienne, founder of Florish, who briefly shares her own experience navigating unexplained infertility and introduces the theme of the evening.

Sonia will lead an educational session exploring unexplained infertility through a holistic lens. Through an accessible presentation and discussion, she will walk participants through the conventional fertility pathway and the additional areas that are often overlooked in fertility care.

Topics include:

  • The conventional fertility pathway and what it typically looks like

  • Lifestyle and nutrition factors that support fertility

  • Key functional lab testing that can provide deeper insight into fertility challenges

  • The role of the microbiome in fertility

  • Why sperm health is an important and often overlooked part of the fertility conversation

There will be time for questions and open discussion so participants can deepen their understanding and reflect on their own journey.

After the educational portion, Vivienne will guide a short second part that shifts the focus from information to experience.

Through a simple body awareness exercise, participants are invited to notice how their body feels and how it may have been responding beneath the surface.

She will offer a gentle introduction to the nervous system, helping to put words to what many women recognise but don’t always fully understand.

We then move into a short journaling and reflection moment, allowing space to process what stood out and connect it to your own experience.

We close the evening with space for quiet conversation and connection.

What you may walk away with:

  • A clearer understanding of why unexplained infertility does not always mean there is no underlying cause

  • Insight into how gut health, immune balance, minerals, and lifestyle factors can influence fertility

  • A broader perspective on how the body systems connected to fertility work together

  • A deeper awareness of how your body responds to stress and uncertainty

  • Practical areas to explore or discuss with healthcare practitioners moving forward

  • A sense of clarity and empowerment in navigating your fertility journey
